Quanna Pan

Being part of the Music Society has been one of the highlights of my first year at UCL. Between playing violin in String and Mezzo Orchestra, singing soprano in Symphony Chorus, surviving intense rehearsals alongside coursework deadlines, and going to pub socials and even regular mahjong gatherings, I've come to treasure every single moment in this community. 

I would now like to give back by serving both current and future members as Treasurer. I've been budgeting my own spending since I was young (arguably a little too enthusiastically), creating my own tracking systems and spreadsheets which I believe would translate well into this role. 

I understand that strong financial planning is what keeps a society running smoothly - ensuring rehearsals, performances and events are properly supported. As treasurer, I would prioritise clear communication, transparent spending, equitable budgeting across ensembles, and detailed record-keeping. My goal is to let our musicians focus on their sheet music and not to worry about the balance sheet.
