Alyssa Fernandes

Hi! I’m Alyssa, a 3rd‑year Medical Innovation and Enterprise student with a deep passion for health and MedTech. I’m committed to supporting MedTech’s mission of showcasing and advancing innovation in healthcare.

As Vice President, I would focus on making the society as ambitious and forward‑thinking as its members, ensuring every event is impactful and engaging. This year, I served as the Technology in Healthcare Executive, where I helped organise MedTech’s flagship Tech in Healthcare Conference- a huge success. This experience has given me strong organisational and leadership skills, from coordinating conferences to managing teams, all skills that directly translate to the VP role. I’m determined to ensure every event this year meets that same standard.

I will work with the team to bring in high‑calibre speakers and panellists who can offer real insight into the MedTech landscape, while also creating events that are interactive, enjoyable, and full of networking opportunities. 

Beyond the events we normally hold, I want to expand enrichment opportunities throughout the year: more speaker events, panel discussions, hands‑on workshops, and spaces for students to explore the intersection of technology and healthcare.
