Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Society: Treasurer

Hi, I’m Carla, a 2nd-year BME student running for Treasurer of the MPBE society. 

As the current Treasurer of the UCL Women in Engineering Society, I am aware of the responsibilities of the role and have learned to effectively manage budgets, track expenditures & ensure the society runs sustainably. I'd now love to bring that experience to the MPBE Society.

As your Treasurer, I would make sure to maximise the budget for events, provide reimbursements ASAP (iykyk) and be as transparent as possible. I have surprisingly learned to love sending emails and Excel sheets, making this role something I genuinely enjoy.

As an active member of the department, I am very excited about the chance of becoming involved even further through this role and ensuring the livelihood of our society. This opportunity will allow me to take on the responsibility of making our department even more of a community where everyone feels like they belong, regardless of background & course.

I have a lot of experience with managing expenses, ranging from budgets for my sailing club in Brazil, to events, investments and my family's money. I would love to be responsible for the MPBE society's finances, focusing on promoting great events, trips and experiences for all of us! I am a 2nd year student in my MEng degree and have worked closely with many members from the society these past two years.

I am applying for Treasurer of the MPBE society, because I would like to be part of the team that works together to make this society thrive . I am organized, responsible, and comfortable managing budgets and keeping accurate records. I will make sure our funds are handled carefully and used in ways that support our events and members. I am dependable and ready to contribute to the club in this role.
