Hi, my name’s Sophia. I’m running for Treasurer because I’m organised, reliable, and I genuinely want to help the society run smoothly. I’m good at keeping track of details and making sure things are planned properly, especially when it comes to budgets and spending.

I’ve had hands-on experience handling money responsibly through a charity fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital, where I was in charge of the finances. I collected and tracked contributions, kept clear records of payments, and organised everything in a spreadsheet so totals were always up to date and easy to report back.

My agenda for the upcoming year:

• Careful budgeting: Set clear budgets for events and initiatives so we can plan properly and avoid last-minute shortfalls.

• Better events: Spend smarter to raise event quality, including consistent refreshments (yes, free food at events) and smoother reimbursements.

• More funding: After seeing how much Imperial’s maths society brings in, it motivated me to grow our sponsorship income by building stronger sponsor relationships and securing more sponsors through competitions, so we can run more events long-term and keep finances stable.
