Hi, I'm Aidan, a Year 2 student studying Maths. Hopefully to many of you at Mahjong Society, I have been a familiar face around the sessions, either checking tickets at the door, teaching the game to newcomers or helping with closing. Being involved has been the highlight of my time at university, and now that I have the opportunity, I would love to tackle more responsibility as Vice President to grow our society even more.

Over these two years of being at the committee, I have had a lot of first hand experience at running Mahjong Society's many socials and events, whether it be the Bubble Tea collaboration with Taiwanese Society or the Inter-Uni Mahjong Competition hosted by UCL this year. I will ensure that the high quality of service that our committee provides everyone will continue into next academic year, letting everyone enjoy mahjong and more.

As Vice President, I will make sure all members’ voices are heard; whether it’s feedback on events, suggestions for improvements, or new ideas. I’ll always make time and be easy to reach for everyone who wants to share their experiences, ask questions and raise concerns.

Most importantly, I hope that everyone entering a Mahjong Society-run event will be able to play as much mahjong as they want, and leave the room happier than they entered it.

Thank you so much for spending the time to read this, and I hope I will be able to help protect the welcoming and fun environment that made me enjoy my time here!
