Inkar Mustafina

It’s been a pleasure elevating our community’s online presence as the Head of Media this year. Whether through event photography or the video projects, I strived to spotlight and unite the members of this society. I now feel ready to continue this mission by leading the next committee. 

As the President of UCL’s Kazakh Society, I would like to:

• Build new relationships with further cultural societies at UCL, including the wider Eurasia;
• Hone in on our charity efforts, particularly by introducing a charity gala evening;
• Reconsider our approach and partnerships for the well-loved external parties, making them exclusive to students;
• Carry out more career-oriented events - such as guest lectures, speaker panels, and networking mixers - expanding the scope to entrepreneurship and the creative industries;
• Introduce the format of student-led and alumni-led interactive speaker panels; 
• Experiment with new event formats, from Ramadan celebrations to a Murder-Mystery-style evening for the spooky season;
• Use our social media to platform and celebrate the achievements and initiatives of our society’s members.

I am particularly excited about the prospect of welcoming and collaborating with a team of fellow initiative-takers who’ll comprise the next year’s committee. We’ll have so much fun (promise!!!)

I am proud to be Kazakh as well as a student at UCL. 

This community is very dear to me, and serving it would be a great honor.
