Election post
I would love the opportunity to be JSOC Welfare officer because I care about making sure our community feels safe, supported and comfortable for everyone. University can often feel very overwhelming at times, and I am very aware of how mental health and stress can affect day-to-day life and overall well-being. Having someone who is approachable and willing to listen can make a massive difference. I want to be someone people feel they can come to without hesitation, whether they need serious support or just a friendly conversation. Jsoc has been such an important part of my time at UCL so far. It is one of the few places Jewish students can relax and be themselves without fear or pressure. I have made some of my closest friends through Jsoc and the sense of belonging has meant a lot to me. I would love to make sure that everyone, especially those who are new or unsure at first feel that same warmth and inclusion. I would descibe myself as friendly, empathetic and approachable, and I would take the responsibility of this role seriously. I care deeply about Jsoc and would be grateful for the opportunity to support our community in this way.
