Election post
「人は城。」(武田信玄)
“People are the castle.” — Takeda Shingen, a samurai warlord.
To me, it’s a reminder that a community’s strength comes from its members. That’s why, as Treasurer, I want to make our budget work for members.
Hi everyone, I’m Kufu (空風), a first-year civil engineering student from Hiroshima.
I want UCL Japan Society to deliver high-quality activities that benefit members, while keeping access fair and financially sustainable.
Experience
- First student council president at a newly established high school:
I learned events strengthen a community when budgets are realistic and responsibilities are clear. - Living in a full boarding school with student-run dormitory governance:
I saw how transparency and consistent rules support participation in a diverse community. - Vice president of my high school alumni association:
I currently help manage the budget and support event delivery.
Why Treasurer matters
UCL Japan Society can return more value through more frequent and larger activities. A stable financial foundation helps us keep key events running year to year and expand member benefits such as discounts.
What I will do as Treasurer
- Practical budgeting and early cost checks before committing to paid events
- Fair, sustainable pricing, while protecting member value through discounts
- Reliable administration with clear records and on-time Students’ Union submissions
名にかけて、「風」林火山の姿勢で務めます。
Fast and responsive when needed, steady and disciplined with the budget.
I’d appreciate your vote.
