Election post
I am standing for Investment Society Event Officer because I combine proven commitment to the Investment Society with strong leadership experience and a clear understanding of what makes events impactful. As First Year Representative, I worked closely with the committee in the set-up of an insight event with Standard Chartered, and outreach to clients for events. This gave me practical experience liaising with external professionals and ensuring events delivered genuine value.
Having attended numerous UCL Investment Society workshops and speaker events, I understand that the most successful events balance technical insight with interactive engagement; something that UCLIS always delivers. As a BSc Economics student with a strong quantitative background, I value academically rigorous yet accessible content, and I would aim to expand events across areas such as asset management, investment banking, fintech, and sustainable finance.
Alongside this, my leadership experience sets me apart. As Head Girl, I have spoke to audiences of over 300 and represented my school at major events, developing confidence, organisation and accountability. As Captain of the Robotics Team and Founder of the Economics Society at school, I led teams of 20 and organised initiatives with more than 1000 participants such as an 11+ examination day, from the ground up. I am proactive, reliable and ready to lead, and I will work to deliver high-quality, well-executed events that elevate the society’s impact.
