I want to be social secretary because I want Indian society to be a place where everyone feels genuinely excited to attend - whether thats for huge cultural events or more relaxed community-focused socials. I want to help create events that are bold and memorable whilst balancing traditional elements with modern influences, so that everyone feels represented. However, events don't feel exciting unless they are marketed well which is why social media is so crucial in promoting them. Recently, I conceptualised and executed a TikTok with my friends which went viral. Creating content taught me a lot about audience engagement and how trends can be used strategically to maximise views. If chosen, I would work closely with the marketing and sales team to ensure our events are not only well-planned, but also effectively promoted. Ultimately, I want our events to feel unmissable both online and in person and I think I'd be the perfect fit in ensuring this!
