Annikka Hoefflin

Hi,

My name is Annikka. I am going into my third year in my History BA and I have been a member of History Society since my first year. This year, I have been one of your events organisers (you may have met me at one of our museum visits throughout the year) and I would like to utilise what I know as your next president. This club is so special to many of us and I hope to continue the great collaborations we have had over the year as well as bring in more opportunities for general social events such as pub crawls, movie showings, and also activities that we can do outside during the warmer months. I have had leadership experience both within this soc and outside having served as the treasurer of Medieval soc, as well as the president of the History Club at my high school. I absolutely adore the amount of new people I meet through this society, whether in this department or outside of it, and my goal will be to bring more people together through both already beloved and new events. As for a bit about me, outside of general history I love both art and music histories across all periods and I hope to bring more art historical events into the events rotation (such as trips to museums - look out for an upcoming trip to the National Gallery with me before the end of term). Lastly I want to make it easier to hear from YOU, I hope to set up an idea submission document for events you would like to see organised on a bigger scale trough the society.
