Siew-Eisha Sahi

The intersection between healthcare, science, and business combines my academic interests with my practical experience and is why I'm passionate about wanting to lead this society as president. Acting as Secretary within Healthcare buisness society this year has given me a comprehensive understanding of how the society operates, from organising events to coordinating committee discussions, votes, and communications that support the actual decision-making. Having seen what can be achieved, I look forward to hopefully taking on a more impactful role whereby I can actively participate in strategic judgement. 

My academic focus in Biomedical Science within the Cells and Molecules stream has shaped my interest in healthcare at its foundations, while my corporate internship experiences at Procter and Gamble (P&G) and DSM-Firmenich have strengthened my appreciation for strategy, innovation, and leadership within professional environments. Together, these experiences have driven my passion for the application of healthcare in the business industry and my desire to help students understand this intersection. As President, I would aim to strengthen the society’s vision, expand events and industry engagement and create an inclusive as well as collaborative culture where members feel supported and inspired. I am motivated, organised, and enthusiastic about leading the society with ambition, professionalism, and purpose in the year ahead.
