Guild Society: Vice President of Events

I am nominating myself for this position because I am passionate about creating meaningful, engaging experiences that empower students pursuing careers in business and finance. I have gone through numerous obstacles to reach a point where I can break into the industry over the last few years. This is the reason I would like to become a part of the committee. 

I’m still discovering my path, so I have experienced how valuable it is to attend events such as conferences and panel talks. I want to make events further accessible by collaborating with the committee to expand professional connections with alumni and firms. I am particularly motivated to curate a diverse range of events, from technical workshops and employer panels to networking evenings, that cater to different interests and stages within finance.

I am highly organised and proactive, qualities that are essential for delivering well-executed and impactful events. I am confident that my reliability and commitment to the society’s purpose will enable me to contribute positively and help elevate the society’s presence this year.

Networking, mentorship, and access to opportunities can make a huge difference in helping students succeed in the industry. I am eager to strengthen our partnerships and expand our event portfolio to ensure they provide real value to our members.
