Election post
Hi, I’m Christina, a first-year Geography and Economics student at UCL with a strong interest in sustainability and the intersection of economics and environmental responsibility. I admire the Green Economy Society’s mission to explore green finance, policy, and sustainable development through events, discussions, and collaborative initiatives that connect theory with real-world impact.
In high school, I served as Treasurer of the Economics Society, where I managed budgets, tracked income and expenses, and provided transparent financial reports to the committee. This experience strengthened my attention to detail and taught me how responsible financial planning enables societies to run effective and sustainable programmes.
If elected Treasurer, I would ensure the Society’s finances are organised, transparent, and well managed. I would work closely with the committee to prepare structured budgets for panels, workshops, and partnerships, while maintaining clear expense tracking and accessible reporting. My goal is to provide a stable financial foundation that supports impactful programming and long-term growth, allowing the Society to continue fostering informed and engaged leaders in the green economy.
