Hello, my name is Anna and I study Human Neuroscience!

I am applying for the role of Welfare and Prayer Officer for VOCE because I believe it is important to consciously and consistently involve God in all we do. As we strive to serve the society, we should not rely solely on our own efforts but instead place our trust in God. In this role, prayer and fasting for VOCE, its members, and the growth of our community will be a priority for me.

I also believe it is important to cultivate a strong sense of community, ensuring that members of the society feel welcomed and at home. As someone who has sometimes struggled with socialising and feeling that I fit in, I have empathy for others who may experience the same. I would aim to help create an environment where people can see how welcoming VOCE is and truly feel that they are part of a supportive community.

As Christians, it is important that while we serve God, we also maintain a personal relationship with Him. This role would give me the privilege of supporting members who may be facing challenges in their walk with God, by praying with them and for them. I would be grateful to be someone that others can turn to for spiritual encouragement and support.

Taking on a position of spiritual responsibility within VOCE is not something I take lightly, and I would strive to carry out the role faithfully. Serving in this position would also allow me to continue being a voice on campus that expresses the Gospel.
