Football Club (Men's): 2nd Team Captain

I am applying to be Football Captain because I care deeply about the team and I believe I have shown the commitment, leadership and reliability required for the role.

The Twos have been successful this year, and that has come from high standards, consistent effort and a strong mentality within the squad. As an active member of the team, I understand what has driven that success and what we need to maintain to keep progressing. I want to build on that momentum and push us even further next season.

I have previously captained both my school team and my club side, so I understand what the role demands. I know that leadership is not just about wearing the armband, but about setting standards in training, holding teammates accountable, staying composed in difficult moments and representing the team properly off the pitch.

I am someone who leads by example. Balancing academics at UCL with multiple commitments has taught me discipline and resilience, and that translates directly into maintaining intensity at training, staying focused on match days and setting the tone through work rate and attitude.

Most importantly, I want to strengthen the culture that has made this team competitive. A captain should be consistent, accountable and respected. I want to ensure standards remain high, attendance stays strong and every player feels part of a united, ambitious squad.
