Filipino Society: Sports Officer

Hi everyone!! I'm Mat, a first year studying mechanical engineering and I believe I would be the best representative for this role as sports has always been a big part of my life, and I would love to share my love for all sports for this society and all who want to take part. I am the type of person who would never say no to competition or try my hand at any new sport, and playing volleyball regularly at a high level has taught me the importance of leadership, organisation and safety especially within sports (currently recovering from a leg fracture playing volleyball 💔). I would ensure that regular sessions would take place throughout the year for all kinds of sports so that no one would miss out, and that inclusivity is made priority alongside some great competition for those willing to take it to the next level! I have experience in coaching volleyball and running a volleyball club at my high school and I would love to share my experience of that in OUR Filipino Society! Sports is one of the best ways to offer some of the most enjoyable and unforgettable events across the year and I would love to be a part of leading and organising these events very soon!
