What’s up Filsoc! I’m one of many Michaels and I’m running for President because Filsoc has given me such a strong sense of belonging at UCL. I’m a strong believer that when you feel grateful, you pay it forward. 😛

When I first joined, that feeling of being welcomed meant a lot to me. Meeting new people and making friends through inter-uni societies and other Filsocs has genuinely been the biggest gift. By voting for the right people (shoutout STEEEPHEEEN), we can have even bigger and better collaborations.

Going into third year, I’ll be the backbone of Filsoc, making sure we have more events. Louder karaoke nights, boodle fights, DIY events. Organised so people are excited to attend and if no one’s picking up the mic? Trust I’ll be the loudest in the room.

Speaking of backbones, food brings everyone together. I’ve worked closely with the Treasurer (shoutout V1) to organise food and drinks, so I understand the planning behind the scenes. I’m ready to take that responsibility further and make sure our events deliver. And yes, WE will be eating more.

As a Psychology student working in group projects, I understand how important roles and communication are. I want to make sure Committee members get along, even when our ideas are different. At the end of the day, Filsoc is about its members. You’re the ones who count. So make your vote count!

Vote for Michaels, Not our Rivals!
