Election post
I study Biology at UCL, specialising in biodiversity and conservation, which allows me to understand ESG challenges through both scientific and financial lenses. My academic background, alongside work experience with London Wildlife Trust, has shown me how natural capital underpins economic systems and why biodiversity loss represents a material financial risk to businesses, investors, and institutions.
In January 2026, I led talks on ESG-related topics at Cumberland Lodge, where I discussed the concept of nature as capital and the importance of pricing biodiversity risk into decision-making frameworks. These experiences strengthened my ability to communicate ESG issues clearly, confidently, and in financially relevant terms.
I have extensive volunteering experience and have worked closely with an ESG mentor, deepening my understanding of governance, accountability, and impact-led finance. I am highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing responsibility, skills that are essential for overseeing society finances.
As Treasurer, I would prioritise transparency, strategic allocation of funds, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that the society’s finances actively support impactful initiatives and reflect the values ESG stands for.
