Sponsors are the backbone of the Engineering Society's ability to operate and deliver meaningful programming by not just contributing financially, but through workshops, guest lectures, and real insight into industry expectations.

As Sponsorship Executive, I'll be committed to:

  • Maintaining existing sponsor relationships, moving beyond financial contributions to ensure companies actively participate through workshops, panels, and site visits.
  • Expanding our network with a particular focus on start-ups and smaller companies, giving students a broader picture beyond the traditional graduate scheme route.
  • Helping connect students with industry names by informal networking events and introducing mentorship schemes that bring students and employers together, helping the society become a genuine springboard for early career development.

Like a lot of new students, I came in completely lost when it came to life after university. Corporate sponsored events changed that. Conversations with people working across energy, law, and tech helped me figure out what I want to do, what I don't, and how to get there. That clarity is hard to come by, and I want more students to find it especially now, students are navigating uncertainty around internships and graduate employment alone but these events provide clarity on hiring, insight into industry pathways, and the chance to build relationships with professionals early.

I've seen the impact of good sponsorship, and I want to be the one delivering it.
