Election post
Real Projects for Real Engineers:
UCL Engineering Society is famous for its boat parties and balls and while they are amazing. It is time the Engineering Society actually did engineering or at least provide a platform that enables it.
As a founding member of UCL Ingenium, I have closely seen the launching of two successful engineering projects that are currently up and running. I have seen the logistics and the perseverance required firsthand. I can assure you that I will arrange a professional setting where members can have a real go at engineering, whether through EngSoc directly or via a close alliance with UCL Ingenium.
My Vision:
- Accessibility for All: Projects shouldn't be exclusive. I will ensure they are accessible to everyone, regardless of year group, through a structured plan that caters to every primary field in the long run.
- Interdisciplinary Innovation: I will champion projects that incorporate interdisciplinary elements, preparing you for the demands of the modern industry. A platform to from friendships outside lectures.
- A Mentorship Ecosystem: A functioning division creates a cycle of success. Senior students will have the chance to mentor juniors, providing leadership experience that greatly boosts CVs and engagement.
My Commitment
This role will be far more than ceremonial. I have the capabilities and the roadmap to deliver. Let’s give our members something to build alongside the socials.
Vote for Precedent. Vote for Projects.
