Rahul Surapaneni

I'm running to be the Events Executive for the Engineering Society as I enjoy organising, planning and running events. I also want to create opportunities for people to get involved in activities outside of lectures and connect with fellow engineers. My background as Deputy Secretary General for a 400-attendee Model United Nations conference and as an Upper School Captain has given me first-hand experience managing large-scale logistics and coordinating diverse teams to ensure everything works on the day. I’ve also taken on leadership roles in engineering projects, where I’ve been in charge of organising tasks, keeping everyone on track, and making sure we follow deadlines. I want to bring that same experience to the Engineering Society by organising a mix of socials, industry events and hands‑on workshops that give people the chance to meet others and try something new. My goal is to build and improve upon this year's events to make the engineering faculty feel more connected and build a greater sense of community.
