Lydia Papaioannou

Hi everyone, I’m Lydia, a second-year Psychology with Education (BSc) student and currently a General Associate in EIE. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to nominate myself for Treasurer for the next academic year!

Since joining EIE, I’ve found a space that has genuinely inspired and challenged me. Over the past year, I’ve helped out with events, outreach, attending opportunities like BETT and supporting behind the scenes wherever needed. I also had the opportunity to co-lead my first panel, shaping the theme, selecting and reaching out to speakers, and helping bring the event together. Being involved across different aspects of the society has given me a deeper appreciation for the collaboration, organisation and care that go into everything we do. I’ve also learned so much from the current committee, whose leadership and dedication I truly respect. Working alongside you has strengthened my understanding of accountability, transparency and teamwork.

As Treasurer, I would approach the role with careful organisation, openness and a genuine commitment to supporting our ambitions sustainably. I care deeply about ensuring that our ideas are backed by thoughtful financial planning, so that we can continue to grow while staying grounded and responsible.

Thank you for your consideration :)
