Eric Zhou

Hi everyone! I am Eric, a current First-Year Representative in Client Relations at UCLAM, running for Treasurer of EFS.

Over the past year, I have held roles across three university societies - Bloomsbury Capital, UCLAM, and 180DC - as well as a high school society I founded and grew into the most attended club in my school's history. This has taught me how societies operate - how events are funded, sponsors are managed, and budgets work - giving me the operational literacy the role demands.

Beyond this, I have a track record of delivering measurable results. At Loaf Markets, I pitched to angel investors, secured a 6-figure pre-seed round, and led outreach that brought £250M of properties under management. I established my school's first Harvard MUN team, securing £1,000 in funding for 15 delegates. At UCLAM, I have co-organised speaker events with firms including Invesco, Man Group and VR Capital. I want to bring this same accountability and transparency to EFS.

As Treasurer, I will:

• Work to ensure no event is cancelled or delayed for logistical reasons, by tightening backend processes from speaker forms and room bookings to risk management
• Work to strengthen sponsor and client relationships, to bring in more funding and higher-profile events
• Manage funds with discipline and transparency so EFS consistently delivers the calibre of events our 2,500+ members deserve
