Mackenzie Lui

Hiyaa! I’m Mackenzie (Kenzie), a first-year Fine Art student! In the past few months since joining Dance Soc, from competing in comps, being in Freshers Show and Blooms to choreographing for Triple Bill, I’ve met some of the best people, made so many amazing memories, and I’d love to play a part and help promote and highlight this talented community.

Being an arts student, I’d say I’m quite creative and have experience with graphic design and using Canva, Procreate, and Adobe, which I believe will come in handy for the role. I’ve also had the opportunity to design logos for a dance crew under Jam Republic and have some branding and design experience in musical programmes, merch, and Instagram ads. These experiences gave me a lot more insight and skills from both industry and school levels on working and communicating with companies and people, adapting designs to specific needs, meeting tight deadlines efficiently, and getting things done and sent off on time.

I’d like to think I’m organised and am able to manage my time well. I’m also pretty active and easy to contact (aka chronically online lol ;) so there’ll be no problem staying up to date with event schedules for weekly newsletters, reaching me for urgent design needs, or just general promotion and Instagram management!
