Election post
I believe I would be well suited to the Treasurer role as I enjoy taking responsibility for managing finances and keeping things organised behind the scenes. I’m currently studying Statistics, Economics and Finance, which has strengthened my understanding of budgeting, financial planning and tracking income and expenditure, skills that translate directly to managing the club’s finances responsibly.
Through my extracurricular experience, I’ve developed a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail. As Finance Director for my Young Enterprise company, I managed budgets, monitored spending and ensured the business remained financially sustainable, while also completing admin tasks and reporting clearly to the wider team. This experience has given me confidence in handling records, approving spending sensibly and making sure money is allocated where it adds the most value.
Within the cricket club, I’d aim to keep finances clear and transparent, ensuring all payments and reimbursements follow Students Union processes and that the club stays within budget throughout the season. I’m also happy to support with booking nets, completing key admin forms and keeping the SU website up to date alongside the President. I work well in a team and having represented my county in multiple sports, I understand how important good organisation and financial planning are to ensure the club operates efficiently, sustainably and can continue to provide a great experience for all.
