Being part of the ABSoc this year has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my time at university for sure. Starting as Freshers’ Representative and then serving as Vice President has allowed me to contribute to a community that means a lot to me and to help create spaces where people can come together through their love for the Ahlulbayt (as). Through these roles, I have developed a better understanding of the work, responsibility, and consistency required to run a society well. I have learnt how to commit to the role, support the team, and help turn ideas into meaningful events and initiatives for our members. I am standing again for Vice President because I want to continue serving this society and build on the experience I have gained this year. I am beyond grateful to be part of such a beautiful and strong community. Especially as someone who moved away from home I have had the best experince within absoc. It offers a place to build new relationships and strengthen your faith. i hope to contribute with a clear vision, dedication, and a genuine desire to help our community grow stronger. Above all, my intention is to serve for the sake of Allah and my Imam (aj), and to continue giving back to the beautiful community we have built together.
