Hello everyone! My name is Lianne, and I’m a second-year Biomedical Sciences student :) Having seen the incredible effort the MedTech committee puts into creating career and networking opportunities for students, I’m eager to be a part of this impact as a Conference Executive in the Technology for Healthcare team!
Attending this year’s conference inspired me to help plan such a large-scale event. I’m deeply passionate about medical technology and healthcare, and I want to support fellow students in exploring these fields. As Events Executive of the Impact Careers Society, I organised the Digital Health Innovations panel for the annual Impact Careers Conference. I also initiated a Healthcare Consulting panel as the Vice President of the Life Sciences Society. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into inviting industry professionals, curating engaging discussions, and keeping panels dynamic as a moderator.
Beyond event planning, my leadership roles have strengthened my teamwork and communication skills. As Programme Director of a school camp and Vice President of my high school’s student council, I managed large-scale initiatives, collaborated with diverse teams, and ensured events ran smoothly.
I’m excited to bring this experience to one of the largest MedTech societies. Vote for me, and I promise to help deliver an engaging, insightful, and impactful conference!
