Hi I’m Helen! I distinctly remember my first experience with the mentorship program - I gained invaluable insights that left a lasting impact on me. Ever since, I have been committed to bringing similar opportunities to others. As Marketing Officer this year, I’ve loved working with the fantastic team to help bring our events to life. As Mentorship Chair, I’m excited to take things to the next level.

Here’s what I aim to bring:

• Ensure the best mentor-mentee match - By having a detailed, practical preference form for mentees, and consistent feedback opportunities throughout so any issues are addressed quickly to make the most of the time.
• Maintain and improve on suggested session frameworks - A clear yet flexible structure will ensure key topics are covered and reduce pressure on mentors, allowing for the focus to remain on mentee development.
• Facilitate post-program and mentee-mentee networking - One of the best things about MedTech UCL is the community. I will organise post-program opportunities with subject preferences in mind to help both mentors and mentees make lasting connections with like-minded individuals. 
• Applying knowledge to real-world scenarios - I aim to introduce or link mentorship with other opportunities where mentees can apply their skills to real-world challenges, simulating future career experiences.

I am incredibly excited about the potential of the mentorship program and I am highly motivated to bring my skills to the table. I hope to have earned your vote!
