Hey everyone,

I'm running to be your Mathematics Society Competitions Officer. As a student from India who has participated in international robotics competitions concerning UAVs, robowars, line following robot races and many more, I am extremely experienced with what a competitive environment requires. I have also participated in multiple Maths competitions in the past — the Hypatia test run by the University of Waterloo, the HMMT run jointly by Harvard University and MIT and the SMT run by the Stanford Mathematics Tournament. Additionally, I have organised Hackathons in my home (Delhi, India) with over 36 participating schools and judged them as well. With heaps of experience to back me up and my undoubtedly amazing ability to motivate participants, I would be amazing at helping organise teams for competitions and managing events. So, you SHOULD consider me to be your next Mathematics Society Competitions Officer.

Dear Members of ADM,

Hello! I am James Yang, a first year mathematics student and keen ADM member, and I am running to be a Competitions Officer of EFS for next year. While founding and running the inter-maths school challenge between schools around the UK, I gained a deep understanding of the skills needed to run and organise competitions between universities and societies. This gave me the confidence to lead workshops and events, providing students with ever more opportunities and improving maths abilities.

My agenda for the upcoming year:

• Outreach: Offer workshop series and social activites to promote, support and encourage participation in competitions like the UK Universities Integration Bee and the IMC.

• Network: Partner with other societies and universities to bring students together - friendly competitions, events and socials, with many prizes and glory to be won!

•  Support: Organise and arrange trips, merch and other logistics for students to attend competitions and events across the UK, minimising all hassle for our society members.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Paul Dimen

I aim to help cultivate the talent and skills of our students to facilitate good performance in competitions through activities like integration workshops where we can bring people together in a friendly environment
