I’ve experienced firsthand the joy and impact of Live Music Society over the past two years, and would love the opportunity to give back and support its growth.
Having served 2 committee positions this year, as Secretary and Social Media & Marketing Officer (from end of Term 1), I gained valuable insight into the society’s operations and demonstrated my ability to effectively manage committee responsibilities. These experiences strengthened my organisation, communication, and leadership skills while giving me a strong understanding of what works well and what can be improved. Working with the current President, I've learned how all aspects of the society are managed, and I strive to apply these insights to build a well organised society.
If elected, my priority will be making sure the society remains open, welcoming, and accessible to all members, while ensuring transparent and effective communication with members and the committee. My key goals include:
- Fostering an inclusive and welcoming community where every member feels heard and valued.
- Expanding newcomer-friendly events such as jams and socials.
- Ensuring the fair and efficient operation of the SPR.
- Investing in music and tech equipment to enhance the quality of our events and rehearsal spaces.
- Actively listening to members' feedback by introducing feedback forms every half term, ensuring that overall society experience align members' wants.
- Sourcing external opportunities and increasing collaborations with other societies.
