Hey! I'm Xinyi, your current LSS Academic Representative, now running for the 2025-26 committee. Last year, I promised to contribute to the betterment of LSS by engaging you through formal and informal academic initiatives. To this end, so far we've had a massively successful internship panel in collaboration with multiple other STEM societies, as well as a lovely PhDs + Pizzas networking event where life science undergrads connected with postgrads. At time of writing I'm organising two upcoming sharings from UCL professors doing fascinating life science research (check these out on the student union events calendar!), and am planning a refreshing take on journal club meetings.

If you've enjoyed the academic events we've had this academic year, I would be very grateful for your support to serve as your LSS Academic Representative again. I hope to continue working on bringing you impactful initiatives, connecting you with career, networking and research opportunities amongst others. My year of experience in this role will assist me in planning even more exciting events for 2025-26, and I will continue to work with fellow committee members on maintaining the quality and longevity of LSS.

Thank you for considering me as your LSS Academic Representative once again. I am excited to take the society to even greater heights, and I would really appreciate your support!
