I’m running for captain as a result of my complete faith in the UCL 2s team, and my belief that I can lead, support, and strengthen the team, both on and off the field!
A pillar of my captaincy would be introducing new set plays to the team that I’ve learned over my 10 years playing lacrosse, including picks, X cuts, and goalie blackout formations, making sure that our team is perfectly in sync with each other.
On top of tactics that will leave Imperial Medics in the dust, I want to build a team where everyone feels excited and confident to step onto the field—striking the perfect balance between a pressure-free environment and slightly psycho competitiveness that terrifies other unis. Off the match field, the 2s team can expect strategy chats, dynamic training sessions, and, of course, post-match penalties and rewards for Man and Badman of the Match.
Through these tenets of my captaincy, I’m committed to making this season our best yet!
