Dora Fidler

I have been a part of setting up JPJ since its inception at the beginning of this year, and therefore understand completely the commitment and responsibility the position of president requires. Throughout the past year I have:

- Run a Shabbat service for Jews and non-Jews alike, and specifically for any Jewish students who feel isolated from the wider Jewish community due to their political and moral values.

- I have spoken at rallies and at fundraising events, representing JPJ.

- Been consistently educating myself culturally and intellectually, joining book clubs centred around Palestinian literature and Jewish writings on resistance and Palestinian liberation.

Therefore, if elected, I will make certain that all members’ voices and the diversity of the Jewish community is represented, as we are not a monolith. And will continue to work in collaboration with Palestine societies at UCL in order to bring our own institution to justice, in regards to its ties with genocide.

Finally, I will strive to foster and create community among members, providing a space to share experience, education and care.
