Hi! I’m Andy, a second-year Economics student, and I’m running for the position of Treasurer at UCL Hedge Fund Society.
As Director of Business at UCL Economics and Finance Society and Secretary at UCL Consulting Society, I have worked closely with Treasurers in both societies. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the role, which is at the core of a society’s success—ensuring strong financial management to support impactful events for members.
As an active participant in UCL Hedge Fund Society, I want to take my commitment beyond just attending events and contribute meaningfully by managing the society’s finances effectively. My key priorities as Treasurer at HFS can be summarised as:
• H – Healthy Budgeting
I will ensure sustainable financial planning by managing the society’s funds responsibly, allowing us to host high-quality events throughout the year while maintaining financial stability.
• F – Forging Connections
I will actively engage with sponsors and external partners to strengthen industry ties and provide networking opportunities with top employers for our members.
• S – Strategic Spending
I will allocate resources efficiently and transparently, ensuring every pound spent contributes maximum value to enhancing your experience in the society.
