Hi everyone, I’m Charlotte, a third year EISPS student! You haven’t seen me around because I’m currently on my year abroad but those of you who volunteered with us last year know me as I was the volunteering officer of the society! I really liked taking care of this aspect of UCLUNA and I would love to contribute to the growth of the outreach programme this year. Combining this commitment with my courses and my part-time job taught me how to be organised and efficient, qualities that are essential to this role. I believe I’m the ideal candidate as I’m already familiar with communicating with a variety of actors, including the student’s union. I discovered MUN at university and quickly became passionate about it. As I’m finishing my degree, I want to share this interest in the United Nations with members of the society and beyond! I look forward to working with the next Outreach and Events director to organise interesting speaker events and fun social events. During my first year at UCL, I felt like the society lacked a sense of community and I want to foster this through (hopefully in-person) social events for everyone. I look forward to being a friendly face to everyone in the society (I’m always in the student center sporting my UCLUNA jacket so you shouldn’t have a hard time spotting me haha)! Feel free to contact me if you want any more information!
Hi! I'm Clementine, a second year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student, and I'm running for Vice-President of Outreach for next year. I have indeed really enjoyed setting up the Model United Nations School Programme this year. With other committee members, I have been able to reach out to schools and make the volunteering run in-person, which was immensely rewarding. However, because of some disruptions due to covid, the programme did not reach as many students as expected. That is why I would love to be involved next year to help expand it!
Thanks to the restructuration of the Outreach branch of the society, I am also very excited about this position as it will allow me to develop outreach within UCL through partnerships with other societies. Moreover, I will be able to help the Outreach Director as well as the Events Director to organise and run events, both socials and speaker events, which will enhance the building of a sense of community within our society.
I hope to have the opportunity to become more involved in the society next year as the Vice-President of Outreach!
