I'm standing for Education Secretary because I'm keen to continue working with the club committee, particularly in a field which I am very passionate about. I want to build upon the current secretary's efforts and continue providing a broad range of teaching opportunities to our members. I plan to provide a series of teaching sessions for both pre-clins and clins, making sure to cover key areas for both groups, in addition to adapting these to each groups' needs. I have had plenty of teaching experience, and feel I would be great for the position.
Pre Clin Education Officer
Year 1
- Transition mentor styled tutorials
o Ensure Year 1s have point of contact in club
o Tutorials on FHMP, and general medical school advice
- Assign module leads for each Year 1 module
o Establish point of contact for each module
o Provide advice/tutorials for each module
- Academic surgery pathway tutorial
Year 2
- Assign module leads for each Year 2 module
o Establish point of contact for each module
o Provide advice/tutorials for each module
- Contact list of senior members and their iBSc
o Help in choosing iBSc
o Assist in writing personal statement
