Looking for a midweek boost? The artsUCL Community Choir runs every Wednesday, offering students a welcoming space to sing, connect, and unwind.

Hosted by artsUnlocked and held at the Bloomsbury Theatre, Conference Room, this community choir brings together students from across UCL for an hour and a half of uplifting music-making.

It is open to everyone...

No auditions. No prior experience. No pressure.

Whether you’ve sung in choirs for years or are trying it for the first time, the artsUCL Community Choir is designed to be inclusive and supportive. All you need is your voice and enthusiasm!

As our choir leader, James Burns puts it: “It is a no audition, fun, pop choir ... think great vibes, lots of laughter and lots of fun!

Students frequently mention the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that makes each Wednesday something to look forward to. Here is what they have to say:

It is a wonderful opportunity to join the community choir. It is a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy the art of singing. James is a great conductor as he is able to introduce us to many different songs of a great variety...and I feel really great to be a part of it.”

“It is a really nice space to just sing and not feel very ashamed about it...and I encourage anyone who has any sort of passion for singing and music to come. James is an amazing conductor, and you'll have so much fun!”

It is not just a choir, it's a community - that you can be a part of!

After Reading Week, expect learning three uplifting pop songs, culminating in a relaxed and informal sharing that gives you a chance to celebrate what you’ve learned in a friendly, low-pressure setting.

If you’re looking for a creative outlet, a way to meet new people, or simply an opportunity to step away from your studies for a while, the artsUCL Community Choir could be exactly what you need.

Join us on Wednesdays to add your voice to the harmony!
