What this does

You can add a live list of upcoming events (or existing pages) to any page by adding a block and typing a tag. For events, the list updates by itself: new events with that tag appear, and past events drop off.

There are two blocks to choose from:

BlockUse it whenWhat visitors get
Tagged content / eventsYou want a short, tidy list (e.g. "Next 5 sports events")Cards or a list, plus a "View more" button. No search or filters.
DirectoryYou want a full, browsable listingSearch, tag filters, sorting, and Card / List / Month (calendar) views.

If you're not sure, start with Tagged content / events.

Add events to a page

Open the page and click Edit.

Click the + (Add block) where you want the events to appear.

Search for Tagged content / events (or Directory) and click it.

With the block selected, open the settings panel on the right (the cog icon if it's hidden).

Set Type to Events (future).

In Tag, type the tag name exactly as it appears on the events, e.g. Sport. Leave it blank to show all upcoming events.

Optional: add a Title to show above the events.

Click Save, then view the page to check the events appear.

In the editor you'll see a grey summary box instead of the real events. That's normal: the events only show on the published page.

Useful settings

You don't need to change any of these. The defaults work for most pages.

If something looks wrong

ProblemWhat to check
Nothing shows on the pageCheck the tag is spelled exactly as it is on the events. If no upcoming events have that tag, the block stays hidden until one is added.
Week or Month isn't offeredThese only work when Type is Events (future). On the Directory block, sorting must also include Event date.
Too many eventsLower Maximum items and turn on the View more button so visitors can see the rest.
"View more" goes to the wrong placeType your own link in the button URL box.
