If you have two accounts and want to combine them into one, follow these steps.
Which account should I use?
Decide which account you want to keep. You'll merge the other one into it.
Note you can only merge non-UCL accounts into other accounts. So you can merge a non-UCL account in to a UCL account, or a non-UCL account into another non-UCL account.
Steps
- Log into the account you want to keep. (Log in via UCL).
- Go to your account merge page: https://studentsunionucl.org/user-account-merge
- Enter the email address of the other account (the one you're giving up).
- Submit the request. An email will be sent to that other account asking for confirmation.
- Log into the other account (or open the email), click the confirmation link, check the list of what will move over, and confirm.
The merge only happens once that last confirmation is done. Nothing changes before then.
What moves to your kept account
- Orders you've placed
- Event tickets
- Content you've posted
- Course enrolments
- Completed courses
- Quiz results
- Form submissions
What doesn't move over
- Club/society and other student group memberships — these need to stay as they are and won't transfer
- Your profile details, password, or username on the account you're giving up
After merging
The old account is switched off (not deleted) and can no longer be logged into. Everything listed above will now show up under your kept account.
