This will allow you to create a link as part of content on your page to a heading within that page. This is not the same as tables of contents, which you can enable with the checkbox under "Images, display & theme" on the right hand side menu.

  1. Select the heading or heading banner in the Gutenberg editor.
  2. In the right hand side settings pane, find "Anchor name" and enter a unique name for this heading, all one word lower case. e.g. "executivesummary".
  3. Select the text you want to link to it and select the link icon to make it a link.
  4. As the link/URL, enter a hash then the name you used, e.g. "#executivesummary"
  5. Save.
  6. When the user clicks that link, it will take them to that header on the page.
