This form is open to student officers and representatives who wish to bid for funding, up to £500* which will enable them to host an event, activity or undertake research for the benefit of UCL students. 

The activity undertake must meet one of our charitable objectives in order to be considered:

  • Promoting the interests and welfare of Students at UCL during their course of study and representing, supporting and advising Students;
  • ​Being the recognised representative channel between Students and UCL and any other external bodies; and
  • Providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its Students.

Application deadline: Applications have a rolling deadline and will be considered in advance of each Union Executive if they are received 7 days before the meeting. 

Successful applications will be agreed by Union Executive members by a 75% majority. Union Executive may make suggest changes to the costing or management of any activity. Those who receive funding must report back to a future meeting of Union Executive with an update on how they used their funds.

Funding can only be used for current/future projects and events. Funds will also only be reimbursed with valid receipts or paid directly to vendors through invoices. 

Examples of events and activities that will be considered:

  • Research into an issue affecting students or something that will benefit a group of students
  • External speakers
  • Prizes/incentives for certain social and recreational activities
  • Running events

*Please note that applications for funding over £500 will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
