Bright room in a nice flat less than five minutes walk from Peckham Rye Station.
I’m looking for a new flatmate to join me in Pekcham. Sadly, my old flatmate has to return to the US, so his room will be free from the 15th March. I’ve been here 18 months, and have loved living here, so looking for someone to take his place!
The room is a good-sized rectangular room. As you can see in the photo, it currently has a single bed, but it had a double before we moved in. It has a large window (you can get a lot of natural light) facing onto Rye Lane itself. The flat is decent living space, with a good kitchen for cooking (gas stove and enough work surfaces), a kitchen table, and seating area. With only two people, it’s uncongested. The bathroom has a bath/shower. There’s a staircase/hallway with enough space for two bikes.
The flat is less than a five minute walk from Peckham Rye Station, which will get you to UCL in just over half an hour if you time it right - the station makes it easy to get around compared to other places in South London. The flat is right on Rye Lane, so there’s a wide variety of local amenities that are very accessible.
A bit about me: I’m currently in my second year of a PhD in Philosophy. In my spare time, I like to read, cook, and go to galleries. I'm quite an easy person to live with, tidy but not fussy, friendly but not intense. I’m very adaptable - the advantage of living in a two person flat is that it’s relatively easy to change how the household works, since it has less of its own momentum.
