Ultimately, I want to ensure that the Network has the financial stability to grow, host impactful events, and create a welcoming community for all international students.
I bring both practical financial knowledge and hands-on leadership experience. Having founded and managed student clubs, including initiatives that organised fairs, fundraisers, and community projects, I am familiar with budgeting, profit allocation, and transparent reporting. My background in business and finance has equipped me with analytical and organisational skills that allow me to manage resources effectively. I am also detail-oriented, reliable, and approachable, qualities essential for a Treasurer who must balance accuracy with open communication.
Students should vote for me because I am committed to ensuring that the International Students Network is financially strong, transparent, and accountable. I will use my experience and skills to support events and initiatives that enrich the international student community, while keeping members informed about how their funds are used. I am not only passionate about finance but also about fostering inclusivity and ensuring that every student feels their needs are represented and supported.
While introverted, I see the Treasurer role as a unique opportunity to build strong working relationships through shared, focused responsibility. My close collaboration with the President, Secretary, and Event Organisers will allow me to connect with people on a deeper, substantive level. Managing the society's funds is the perfect responsibility to push me beyond my comfort zone in a supportive environment, developing the teamwork abilities vital for future professional success and building a lasting network of friends.
- With a decade of industry experience, I will bring strong organisational and system-building skills to this role.
- I bring unquestionable integrity and a strong sense of responsibility. I understand the seriousness of managing the society's funds and will always prioritise transparency and ethical handling of our resources, protecting the trust of our members.
By electing me, you gain a motivated Treasurer who is committed to personal growth and strong collaboration, ensuring a dedicated and unified leadership team for the year ahead. I offer the quiet diligence needed to be a rock-solid, reliable financial foundation, freeing up our entire committee to deliver better events and services for you.
As Treasurer, I hope to ensure that the Network operates transparently, responsibly, and sustainably. I aim to manage budgets efficiently, keeping clear records of all income and expenditure while supporting the planning of events and initiatives that bring our diverse community together. I want to help make financial decisions that are fair, inclusive, and in the best interests of all international students. Beyond the administrative side, I hope to contribute ideas to make the Network more engaging and accessible by creating opportunities for students to connect and feel at home here at UCL.
I bring strong organisational and numerical skills developed through my experience in student leadership and in a technical field of study. Serving on the student council and in Girl Guides taught me to be detail-oriented and reliable, with a practical approach to budgeting and logistics. As Treasurer, I will ensure that financial decisions are transparent and well-documented, while supporting the committee in planning well-resourced events. My international background also gives me clarity on the challenges international students face, which will guide my decisions to help my fellow students.
I am dedicated to ensuring the Network runs efficiently, transparently, and inclusively. I’m organised and passionate about representing the voices of our diverse international community. My experience managing events and coordinating resources in leadership roles has taught me the importance of accountability and communication. As Treasurer, I will manage budgets responsibly, deliver meaningful and well-funded events, and make sure every financial decision contributes to creating a welcoming environment for all international students at UCL.
International Students @ UCL are still unable to perceive it as home despite being among the highest monetary contributors to the university. In my capacity as treasurer, I wish to try changing that as well as lobby for suggested changes by international students within the role's jurisdiction.
Hall Community Officer (24-25), Marketing Director - UCL Entrepreneurs Soceity, Marketing Manager - UCL MPBE Society, Communications Officer - Crooks Society
We're tight like that.
If elected, my goal is to build a sustainable and strategic financial foundation for our International Student Network, and I will proactively collaborate with Student and Sabbatical Officers, engaging in discussions with the committee from the initial planning stages to the final decision-making, developing cost-effective solutions that can maximize the use of every pound. I would try my best to ensure every member in this network to feel the direct impact of a well managed treasury through more events and activities, and the confidence that their community's finances are in capable hands.
I plan to create financial systems so every member understands how budgets are used. Through a shared financial dashboard, every member would be able to see our income, planned expenditures, and remaining balances. From my experience, I personally have a private banking client manager whom I keep regular communication, which has provided me firsthand experience in funds management, and learning how an actual practitioner works. I will approach this duty with a meticulous attitude, and I hope that I can serve as the support for this network.
You can vote for a foundation of trust. Coming from a family deeply involved in business and finance, I've grown up understanding financial funding management, and started learning Economics from a very young age. As a first-year student, I'm truly seeking for opportunity to contribute to our international family in the long term. I have adequate time, energy and foundation to take charge of this duty, and I am capable of committing to the network with full dedication and responsibility, ensuring timely execution without any delays, as well as ensuring the budget is optimally utilized.
As treasurer, I will ensure that the budget allocation is done in a timely and transparent manner, so that members are confident in how our funds are being used. I hope to collaborate with like-minded societies and secure external sponsorships to expand our event offerings to help spotlight the vibrant international community at UCL. I am committed to supporting underrepresented interests within the network, and hope to do so by researching diverse interests and allocating funds more equitably.
As part of UCL LWOB's fundraising subcommittee last year, for which we organised a Valentine's Day Take Me Out fundraising event, I had the experience of allocating a limited budget while maximising quality and attendance, and we raised £200 from the event. This demonstrates my skills in organisation and communication. During a legal internship this summer, I was trusted with analysing and simplifying two years worth of account statements to highlight inconsistencies during a client meeting, which is evidence of my attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data.
As treasurer, I hope to achieve the following:
- SOUND BUDGETING! Accurate, timely and transparent budget allocations
- BETTER EVENTS! Collaborate with like-minded organisations to receive further external sponsorships during events to promote the international student community at UCL
- EVENTS FOR EVERYONE! Research and allocate funds to lesser-represented interests within the international student network to improve inclusivity within the community
I bring strong financial and organisational skills from managing finances for my high school sports club, along with a solid background in economics and accounting from A Level. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about helping ISN run efficiently and transparently.
I aim to ensure ISN’s funds are managed responsibly, streamline budgeting and reimbursements, and explore sponsorships to support more inclusive events. My goal is to make every financial decision strengthen the international student experience.
Students should vote for me because I have real experience handling finances, a strong foundation in economics and accounting, and a commitment to transparency. I’ll manage ISN’s resources responsibly to help create more opportunities for international students to connect and thrive.
I hope to gain good understanding of how student networks are organised and operated while contributing to creating a more inclusive and engaging environment for international students. I also want to collaborate with students from different nationalities, and understand their different ways of thinking and problem-solving. I believe this experience will help me grow personally and will strengthen my ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
I bring experience from my previous role as a Project Coordinator in a building design company, where I managed project budgets, coordinated teams, and ensured clear communication between clients and colleagues. Through this experience, I developed strong financial awareness, leadership, and organizational skills. I also value teamwork and inclusivity, which I believe are essential qualities for working effectively within the International Students’ Network.
I believe I have the right skills and experience to support the network in this role. My background in managing international projects and budgets has taught me the value of teamwork, transparency, and good communication. I’m keen to work closely with the Student Officer and event organizer to plan and manage budgets for events and activities in a efficient way.
I aim to aid the International Students' Network by taking care of two quintessential aspects of project management: overseeing the treasury and securing adequate funding. Transparency will be my utmost priority to achieve the most desired results for the entire International Students community. With my vast fundraising experience, I will obtain opportunities, sponsorships, and grants to expand the Network's capacity.
Through my volunteering journey, leading a civil service club of 130 members was a transformative experience. Here, I lost track of the time spent working towards benefiting those in need. I picked up the traits of a true leader and became Treasurer and later President of the club. Relevant to the Nomination I am applying for, I learned every detail of how a treasury should be managed through these two roles. I mastered fundraising techniques, securing impressive contracts and learned how to optimise the club's limited resources for maximum impact.
I am a dedicated volunteer who puts passion into every project and is committed to giving back to the community. My extensive experience—from leading and managing funds as Treasurer and President of a 130-member civil service club—means I understand the responsibilities and skills needed for this role. I am transparent, communicative, and experienced, and will ensure International Students’ Network funds are managed with care to support your projects and priorities.
If elected, I want to make sure that the network's finances are managed effectively and transparently while establishing long-term stability. I'll make well-organized budgets, give frequent financial updates, and, with clear guidance, support innovative student projects. Building trust, empowering members, and leaving the network stronger for upcoming cohorts are my objectives. In order for each member to feel informed, included, and confident in their utilisation of resources, I also wish to simplify financial procedures.
I bring financial market certifications, leadership experience from student council and mentoring positions, and financial literacy from investment advising internships. I combine integrity, dependability, and a dedication to detail with my expertise in analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement. In order to benefit the larger student body, I have also managed funds through community projects, which shows my capacity to do so in an ethical, responsible, and transparent approach.
Because I combine leadership, transparency, and financial expertise, I should be elected by the students. I'll responsibly handle money, inform students, and make sure resources support community-enhancing projects. I have demonstrated leadership and financial expertise, and I'm committed to encouraging trust, inclusivity, and financial stability. In order to ensure that the network keeps growing after my term, I will concentrate on providing opportunities for all students while making an impact that lasts.
If elected as your Treasurer, my goal is simple but important: to make sure our International Students' Network has the financial fuel it needs to create amazing experiences for all of us. I know how much it means to find a welcoming community away from home and I will work tirelessly to ensure our funds are managed transparently and used effectively to support events that truly make a difference—whether it's a cultural celebration that reminds us of home, a career workshop tailored to our needs, or just a fun social to help us make new friends.
I bring not just experience, but genuine passion and understanding. Having been actively involved in student unions and volunteering, I've organized events and managed budgets firsthand. I understand the practical side of planning—how to stretch a budget to include more people and how to account for every penny responsibly. More than that, as an international student myself, I bring empathy and a deep commitment to our community. I'm a collaborative, detail-oriented person who will listen to your ideas and work closely with the network convenor to turn our collective vision into reality.
Vote for me because I genuinely understand the challenges we can face, and I'm dedicated to making our time here at UCL more connected and supportive. I have the practical skills to manage our money wisely and the heartfelt commitment to ensure it's used in ways that benefit all of us. With your vote, you'll get a trustworthy, approachable, and enthusiastic Treasurer who will be a strong voice for our community.
- Transparent finances: you'll always know where the money goes and every penny will be accounted for!
- Diverse events: I will maximise our resources to plan and deliver a wider range of unique events, informational, cultural and social-from job panels to cultural performances, there will always be something for you!
- Connecting you to like-minded peers through social events, creating a platform for mutual support!
- Stronger partnerships: partnering with societies, both big and small to run jointly funded cultural events, creating platforms to showcase your culture with the entire campus!
