Election post
I’m Aleks, a current Civil Engineering Student Rep and Senior Mentor, so I know how meetings run and what actually helps students. I listen first: I run quick polls, hold regular drop-ins and gather honest feedback. I’m approachable, organised and pragmatic, I turn problems into clear, realistic asks for staff and follow up until students see practical improvements. I’ll make sure your voice is heard and acted on.
I’ve already delivered changes as Civil Engineering Student Rep, standardised feedback, clearer deadlines and fairer group-work. If elected I’ll scale these across the Faculty with simple feedback templates, transparent rubrics showing mark breakdowns, centralised deadline guidance and better tools for tracking group contributions. I’ll set short-term targets, share progress updates, and keep asking students for quick feedback so changes actually help.
Vote for me because I listen, act and follow through. As Student Rep and Senior Mentor I’ve turned student concerns into real fixes, faster feedback, fairer assessments and clearer communication. I’m approachable (regular drop-ins and short anonymous polls), pragmatic (small changes that cut stress) and accountable (I’ll publish short meeting notes and progress updates). I’ll use your feedback to prioritise what matters most to students.
