What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Through chatting with everyone and through online surveys, I will gather the Astor community’s opinions and concerns, ensuring that these are then championed at the Welfare & Community Zone meetings. Examples of suggestions I’ve heard include: being taught how to use onsite facilities (e.g. the stoves, Circuit Laundry), changing the door locking system from automatic lock to “tap to lock” (preventing accidental locking-outs, a win-win situation for both us and security). If you ever have any questions or concerns you’d like to raise, don’t hesitate to send me a message or knock on my door!

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As Deputy Head Girl at school, I fed back students’ views to senior management. I was successful in championing student-backed initiatives and ideas, such as the creation of the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and scrapping paper bus tickets in favour of electronic wristbands, a more sustainable and economical alternative. This role required of me reliability, good time management, and effective teamwork. Moreover, I was a kind, approachable student whom others could come to when they needed help or advice. I believe I can utilise these experiences and skills as your Hall Rep.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

We all know that Astor is one of the best (if not the best) UCL accommodations to get, qualities including its facilities, location, and people. Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement. As a reliable and approachable Law student, I’m not afraid of a challenge, and I hope to be able to put my advocacy skills to good practice by championing the views of the Astor community to ensure that our much-needed student/resident voices are centred in future projects and developments. Vote for me today to ensure that Astor continues to be UCL’s best accommodation to live (and laugh and love).

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If I am elected I hope to improve quality of life at astor college. This could be trying to get better and colder water or organizing more socials in the common room, like big parties with drinks for everyone to enjoy :)

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I am a social person and I have been listing to what people complain about. This is something I intend to keep dong and I can thereby create changes that really matter to the residence at the hall.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I want to make sure everyone has a good time staying in the halls. Moving away form home to uni is a big step. I think it is importent to make sure everyone has a good time, socially and in regards of the quality of life.
