What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected as Societies Rep, I hope to:

  1. Strengthen communication between societies and students so that ideas, concerns, and feedback are clearly shared.
  2. Encourage wider participation by helping societies promote events and opportunities more effectively.
  3. Support collaboration between societies to create more joint activities and cross-community engagement.
  4. Represent student feedback in discussions with the committee and relevant stakeholders.
  5. Promote an inclusive society environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel welcome to participate.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring two years of experience as an Academic Student Representative, where I worked with both students and staff, gathered feedback, and ensured clear communication of students' concerns.

Through this role, I developed strong organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to represent diverse perspectives responsibly.

I understand that supporting societies within a large and diverse community like UCL requires reliability, clarity, and collaboration, and I am committed to helping ensure student voices are effectively represented.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I sincerely care about ensuring that students' voices within societies are heard and represented. Societies play an important role in helping students connect, explore interests, and build communities across UCL.

I believe good representation should be approachable, responsive, and attentive, and I will prioritise listening to students' ideas and concerns so they are clearly communicated.

By voting for me, you are choosing someone committed to representing societies and strengthening communication between students and the wider community.

UCL is celebrating its 200th birthday in 2026. What do you think UCL will look like in 200 years time?

Congratulations to UCL on its 200th birthday!

In 200 years, I imagine UCL as an even more globally connected and inclusive university. As students continue to come from diverse backgrounds, collaboration across cultures, disciplines, and ideas will become even more central to university life.

I hope UCL will continue to strengthen its identity as an open and innovative institution, where diversity is not only reflected in student body but actively supported through communities and societies that encourage participation, exchange of ideas, and meaningful connections.
