Sign Language Society: Welfare Officer

I have been a familiar (and hopefully friendly) face in Signsoc as education officer this past year; as welfare officer I would ensure to maintain an inclusive and respectful space for anyone to learn sign language. As someone who works with SEN children, accessibility is highly valuable to me and especially important in this society. Ensuring all members feel welcomed and feel they can voice their concerns would be of top priority to me. I would hope to be an approachable person that supports students practically and acts on any issues by maintaining communication with other members of the committee. Through this role I would love to positively engage with students to create a relaxed environment while learning sign language, as well as ensuring accessibility for all events throughout the year. I would love to support in running this amazing society!
