School of Pharmacy Society: Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer to ensure the UCL School of Pharmacy Society continues to grow while keeping events accessible and high quality for all members. Through my experience on the events team, where I managed ticket sales and more, I developed strong organisational skills and financial responsibility in handling payments accurately and efficiently. As School of Pharmacy Ball Lead, I oversaw budgeting decisions and implemented improvements that enhanced both the quality and delivery of the event.

Importantly, I successfully secured sponsorship from L’Oréal and MicroPharm, increasing external support for our initiatives and demonstrating my ability to build professional relationships that directly benefit students. If elected, I will continue expanding sponsorship opportunities and partnerships to increase funding, reduce event costs and create more opportunities for members.

My priority is maximising the value of society funds via strategic budgeting, cost-effective planning and fair ticketing processes. This ensures every member sees tangible benefits from their involvement. I am proactive, reliable and committed to strengthening the society’s financial position for both current and future students.

When finances are organised and transparent, SOP can run better events, keep activities accessible, and grow in ways that genuinely benefit students. With previous experiences as the varsity captain of table tennis and the president of the sketching society in high school, I understand how to effectively leverage resources which will prove handy in this role. 

As Treasurer, I will ensure our funds are used in ways that directly improve members’ experience. This means affordable socials, well-run events, or funding requested ideas from members. In addition, I value transparency, so members can see how their fees and funds are being used. 

Ultimately, I want to help SOP continue the welcoming and active atmosphere it has built, supported by finances that are managed responsibly and used to create new opportunities for everyone.
