Cliona Sheerin

Hi everyone! My name is Cliona Sheerin and I have been a fan of motorsport ever since I watched my first Formula 1 race at 6 years old. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with all forms of racing, from F1 and its feeder series to IndyCar, MotoGP, WEC and Formula e. I was on committee for Automotive Society previously in 2024/25 and it was truly one of the highlights of my university experience so far. I held the position of Welfare Officer and together with a fantastic committee we achieved massive success in drawing new membership to the society. I am standing for Welfare Officer once again as I want to help continue to grow the society and allow for it to be a safe space for all racing fans to come together and support their favourite teams and drivers. Whether you're a new fan or a racing expert, everyone should be free to enjoy motorsport, particularly female fans in what is a heavily male-dominated sport. If elected, I will continue to make sure everyone feels welcome in the society. I will also be on hand to help plan our events, such as race watchpartys, pub quizzes, racing-themed movie nights, regular socials, introductory masterclasses on other motorsport series similar to those I have hosted before, car spoting events, field trips, career and networking opportunites in the motorsport industry and more! I care deeply about UCL Automotive Society and I want to help others get as much enjoyment out of it as I have and that is why I am running for Welfare Officer.

Adam Schofield

I have a strong personal interest in motorsport and automotive culture, particularly GT3 racing and Formula 1. I enjoy following major GT3 championships such as the WEC, IMSA and ADAC Nürburgring, as well as keeping up with the latest developments, teams, and drivers in Formula 1. I also really enjoy  sim racing and the community of car spotting. Having been part of UCL Auto Soc for the past year and a half, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know people and being involved, and I feel stepping up into the welfare officer role would be a great way for me to give back to the society and support the members.
